When I started Rhyland's fitness program, I was already working out 5 days a week but without any real goals. Though I had no big goals, I chose some little fitness goals (ie. doing a chin up) thinking I probably wouldn't get anywhere with this (never have in the past). However, Rhyland was able to take these goals and add little progressions to my workouts to actually help me develop and reach these goals (I can now do 3 full chin-ups in a row!) Rhyland also changed my outlook on "how" I needed to work out. I also felt unless I did some HIIT training everyday that the workouts didn't count. Now I really appreciate the challenges that the strength training can give to me and the progress I can have without feeling like I need to be breathless and sweaty throughout my whole workout.

Rhyland taught me how to look at food differently, and therefore how to plan my meals with protein being the key focus. Adequate protein was definitely lacking in my daily meals before connecting with him. Shifting my thoughts of food allowed me to ask myself "What will I get out of eating this food? What will eating this food do for me?" This helped me to to be more conscientious and purposeful in choosing the foods I eat. I also understand the value in weight training and how important it is as we get older.
